Dealing out hate for hate doesn't work. The fear surrounding it only leads to dis-ease in body, mind, spirit, nation, and culture. The darkness will permeate and engulf without the Light. Einstein said, "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."
The only answer is love. In the Light is love. Einstein continued with, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." That thinking is fear and hate. A darkness that spreads like an untreated cancer. As Dr. King said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
I am heartened to see so many people counteracting the fear and hate and xenophobia, which has become so newsworthy but which goes against the tenets of almost all the faiths we supposedly espouse, with shouts of love and understanding. We get to choose the world we live in: “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.” Einstein again - a scientist and critical thinker, probably one of our greatest. Join me in consistantly listening and learning; finding our individual ways to spread this consciousness of love - not as wallflowers or some airy-fairy wishful thinkers, but as commanders of our destiny.
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one person to
dissolve the bands and bonds of struggle, strife, lack, and
faithlessness, which has connected them with a life that does not
serve their greatest good, and to assume among the Power of the
Universe, the separate station of Prosperity to which the Laws of

consciousness.

individualization of the Source and Substance of All, solemnly
publish and declare, That I Am, and of Right ought to be Free and
Independent of destructive thoughts and beliefs; and I Am Absolved
from all Allegiance to negativity, and that all connection between me
and the State of Lack, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and
that as a Free and Independent personalization of God, I engage my
full Power to levy Peace, Prosperity, and Love in my life from this
day, forward. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm
reliance on the protection and Power of the Divine Intelligence

Do those statements give you confidence about today's commentary? Or my ability to inspire you?
Or teach you? Or assist you to your greatest good?
I don't think so.
Wishing and Hoping...what does it get you?
The definition of wish:
"to feel or express a strong desire or hope for something that is not easily attainable; want something that cannot or probably will not happen, to strive after"
Notice phrases: “not easily attainable” or “cannot or probably will not happen” or the word “strive” which is synonymous with struggle.
Who here wants to struggle?
But we constantly use that word, knowing it is indefinite, without decisiveness. Thought it is a nice sentiment to use: hope. The definition of hope is...
"a feeling of desire, aspiration, wish, ambition, aim, goal, plan, pipe dream, something you want to happen or be the case"
Notice the words “wish”, “pipe dream” and the phrase “something you want to happen”
Want not will!
Now these are good starts to manifesting. They are better than being pessimistic, negative, or not having any dreams. At least hope has some expectation in the mix and wish is the beginningof an idea.
It is time to take the next step!
But let's review very quickly, how the Law of Cause and Effect (Law of Attraction.... Law of Correspondence....Law of Supply [whatever you want to call it] works?
It acts like a mirror...
Your Beliefs color the results of the experience the Universe manifests for you. You are the sculptor, the painter, the writer, and the actor. The Universe is the media which you carve, compose, script, etc. the idea (what it is you desire) into the artwork of your life.
Is wish and hope enough? Is desire enough?
Remember wishing equals
"not easily attainable or “cannot or probably will not happen”... to strive or struggle"
I repeat, Who wants to struggle? The Law can’t be fooled. Words and feelings like 'hope 'and 'wish' are maybe... maybe ...for the very beginnings of the ideas you want manifested in your life
It takes decisiveness, clarity, knowing, and believing in these concepts of how the Law works and accepting your God-given talents and Power to use the Law for your greatest good.

'What if' is another beginning tool! I declare it time to step away from beginnings and lean in (thank you Sheryl Standberg), dig in, pay forward, and focus on the results!
I want you all to join me in delving deeper into your Spiritual Mind practice, to pay, in mental and spiritual coin (ie. consciousness, belief, affirmative prayer), so that the stuff that you require, the attitudes you require, the relationships you require, the peace of mind you require…they show up as you desired it, as you pictured it, as you wanted it!
And you don't do that by wishing or hoping... but with expecting!

So hopes and wishes are nice beginnings, they are nice sentiments to someone, something to put in a card....but as a tool for manifesting your greatest good – they should be...
...kept to a minimum
The Universe is waiting to hear want you want, what you believe so It can dish it up and deliver. With your clarity, your love, your joyous, peaceful and confident belief in the never ending abundance of the universe, you will manifest your greatest good.
Are you willing to believe that there is an infinite supply of everything
and you can have as much of it as you want?
Define your dreams, Write them out and mock up the 'perfect' of whatever you desire. Then take definite, clear, and loving action mentally (intellectually), spiritually (prayer, meditation, visualition, etc.) and physically (take any decisive action you can). And stand feet apart, arms in victory, and expect....
Today as we celebrate and appreciate the garden that we live on, whether that garden is green, icy, mountainous, wet or arid. Founded by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970, after witnessing the ravages of the 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California, Earth Day was to infuse that energy of the late sixties anti-war protest gatherings with an emerging public consciousness about air and water pollution and force environmental protection onto the national political agenda.With bi-partisan support and that from farmers and city-dwellers rich and poor, liberal and conservative, and business leaders and union reps standing side-by-side for the life and prosperity of the planet, the first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. And in 1990, it went global. The common dictum coming out of this movement was the three R's: reduce, reuse, recycle. It is a principle that not only has saved and continues to save our planet, but is a formula for saving and/or creating a prosperous life. Whether your are burgeoning the garden in your yard, community, the planet, or your heart and mind; the three r's bloomin' work (pun intended)!
In Eddie Watkins, Jr.'s song, THE GARDEN, he sings:
There is a garden where dreams come true
A beautiful garden where God's grace blooms.
there is a garden where everything grows,
A beautiful garden where love is sown.
And in this place of life and love,
You can have anything that your dreaming of.
There is a garden where dreams come true,
A beautiful garden,
That garden is you.
You are the garden to preserve. You are the garden to tend. You are the garden to You are the one to aerate, warm, feed, nourish, stimulate, fertilize, and cultivate the eco-system. It is your zone. It happens in your yard - the Mind. And the power to do so in innate and organic. You are the one to set up and sustain the ecology of You. You create that ecology through the symbiosis of mind, heart, and gut (intuition). It may take vigilance, daily intentional mental work, but you can do it. You were born to do it. Dig in!
Reduce......the attention you pay to the news, the gossip, how yucky you life might have been growing up, years ago, or yesterday (try: Radical Forgiveness). By giving attention to those things, instances, and the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs they sow, you give them power to effect and affect your life from now, forward. Easier written than done? Start now. Listen for those destructive words, terms, and phrases you've learned over the years and void them. Literally speak the words, "void" or "null", or "stop, no longer belongs in my life" or something akin to those, right after you say the negative junk. Reduce their power and you will soon reduce their consistency in your belief system - b.s. The other b.s. is what negative, destructive, denigrating words and phrase are.
Reuse.....those words and phrases that you know propel you. Surround yourself with them. Listen to the music and people that inspire you. See the art and films that motivate, relax in the environment (a park, a lake, the mountains, etc.) that energizes you. Don't know what those would be, then look for them. Seek them out...then keep them and reuse them....over and over. Open your mind and heart to Mozart, Debussy, Degas, Martin Luther King, Tony Robbins, Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Tesla, "Dead Poet's Society", "Forrest Gump", "It's a Wonderful Life", Joel Osteen, Bob Marley, Sting, opera, jazz, rock (the list goes on....) - you must find them and incorporate them into your heart, mind, soul, elbow, etc.; in your life, whether at work or play - daily.
Recycle.....that which has been useful to others. Find a mentor, go to workshops, take a class, learn a form of meditation, ask your friends, read (Deepak Chopra, Rumi, Tony Robbins, Ernest Holmes, Thomas Troward, James Allen, Marianne Williamson, the Buddha, the Tao, Wayne Dyer, etc. - this is a very small list), use affirmation cards, join a choir, or find a religious or spiritual organization that teaches and experiences life with love and to the fullest (don't be afraid to go once, get a vibe, feel the energy, and maybe never return until you find a place that resonates with you - love, forgiveness, and your connection to the Divine or whatever you call It).
Like the other three R's (reading, [w]riting, and [a]rithmetic), they are essential for the growth, development, evolution, and prosperity of your life. Plant the seed of optimal thoughts and beliefs by nourishing and feeding your garden with the 'miracle-gro' of life. It's all around you. It may not seem as loud as the news, the gossip, and all the environment of negativity swirling around, but it is there more often than you think. Grab on and turn the volume of the positive, the exemplary, and the optimal to eleven.
You have the Power. You are the Power. That garden is YOU!

THE SECRET OF LIFE: PERSPECTIVE
Now that you know that, you don't require workshops, church of any kind or.... I am partially kidding, of course, but your perspective, based on your beliefs about how things are, will color all of your experiences. Last week had quite the major calendar of events. It was a Wow Weekend. It was...
FRIDAY THE 13TH
...too often thought of as a day of bad juju. Both the day of Friday and the number 13 have their full of superstitious distractions.
It is said that Adam ate the apple on a Friday, changing the way humans live in the world, removing them from Eden (ie. Paradise). Well, first, it wasn't an apple. They don't grow in that region and it is a general term for fruits and poor translation, It most likely was a pomegranate or fig. And secondly, how did someone decide it happened on a Friday? That indeed should be enough to discount this example, but did the effect of this "apple" consumption bring on an embarrassment of their nudity and the knowledge of good and evil? Or did it enact what the Universe intended, a life of choice, some of which might be embarrassing or not very nice? Which brings me to perspective and choosing what yours is on life - your life. It is also been said that Cain killed Abel on a Friday. Again, Friday?
Of course, the most infamous bad juju Friday has to be the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth (Yeshua ben Joseph). Yes, it wasn't a very good day for Jesus, but note what the day commemorating the event it called now... Good Friday.
The number 13 has a bad rep, as well:
It is said that the 13th guest at the Last Supper -remember this was a Passover Seder that Jesus presided over the day before his betrayal, arrest, and eventual crucifixion - was Judas. But was he? Could it not have been Jesus who was the 13th guest? As the guest of honor, he was probably the last to enter (Jesus liked to make a big entrance, you know). Now this didn't turn out too well for Jesus' corporeal existence, but, if it was anything like the Seders I grew up with, the food was good. And if it didn't all happen, in some similar fashion, Jesus would have not been crucified and all that is represented and 'celebrated' because of it. Perspective!
There is a similar story in the Norse mythology that influenced the '13 is 'unlucky"' thing. The Feast of Valhalla, where 12 of the Viking Gods dined. The 13th guest was Loki (the wily trickster god), who had been uninvited, and ended the feast by killing Balder the Beautiful (with a mistletoe spear - kiss of death?) and bringing darkness and mourning throughout the land. But....
In the Ascended Masters philosophy (they believe that the Presence of Life - God - Individualizes as the "I AM" and incarnates throughout the created universes.), Ramtha is the 13th ascended master (Jesus, Krishna, and Buddha are in there, as well) and is a number associated with the angels who are here to heal and transmute your fears into positive energy of love. There are 13 Lunar cycles, the Mayans & Native Americans honor that. In the Tarot, Death ;is the 13th card, which is usually a scary thing, full of uncertainty, hesitation and rupture in life. but it also represents renewal, transformation, end of struggle, and new beginnings. The number thirteen is a prime number (only divides by itself and one) which represents something that is incorruptible and pure. And when you put them together, "oh my"...

Butch Cassidy born. Not a good thing for banks, but nice for Paul Newman's career.
I celebrated Friday the 13th in the fifth row watching Joel Osteen and experiencing a dynamic positive, loving energy from his Night of Hope. And I am not a Christian.

Moving on to Saturday....
It was PI Day. The number Pi is 3.141592653 and as of 2013, continuing with 12.1 trillion other numbers. Like many people, I celebrated by eating pie, both pizza and dessert. Now some folks would dwell on the fact that gluten and sugar is not a good celebratory ingestion of food. True as that may be, the importance of Pi Day, is that it not only is the equation defining the circumference of a circle, it also represents the infinite, perfection, the patternless the transcendental, and, in the Science of Mind, the way the Universe works, the Divine Act of Creation within us all. It is an idea to celebrate, live by, and intentionally / consciously Be: I Am that I AM and I use the Law of Cause and Effect to govern and create the experiences of my life.
And, finally, Sunday....
The IDES OF MARCH Granted, it wasn't a particularly groovy day for Julius Caesar, but before that event occurred, it was considered a feast day celebrated with picnics, drinking, and revelry. In the original Roman calendar, the Romulas calendar, Martius, March, was the first month - happy new year everyone. It wasn't till Julius crated the Julian calendar that it became the third month - and see what happened to him? March was named after Mars, God of War. So, like Friday, 13, Friday the 13th, and the occasional gluten/sugar filled day, these "bad" things are pretty much superstition (not to discount the nutritional valueless and sometimes danger aspect of gluten and sugar for many people) and not Truth.
WE GET TO CHOOSE WHAT TO BELIEVE
And so, in honor of Mars, the God of War, and choosing perspective and belief, as is our birthright...
It is time to take up arms against fear, lack, dis-ease, and hate in our lives.
If one guy with a bullet could change the world in the school depository in Dallas or a hotel in Los Angeles or Memphis; how much more could one person with an idea, the right idea, change the world. Today, this day, the world will change forever, not because of the clash of armies, not in the currency of bomb blasts or body counts, but through the proper application of the only force that matters, the only power that even God respects, the Truth.
